![]() Working for years with patients after myocardial infarction, using also my education in psychology, I found that what matters after heart attack cannot be only reduced to pills. What people need is long-lasting and information-based support with elements of psychotherapy. I always say to my patients that it is obvious that heart attack is just like car-accident - in most of cases it is sudden, life-threatening and painfull experiences leaving us with hard memories. So it is not easy to get out of such situation, moreover what we need are: patience, time and a lot of work.
All my experiences and suggestions for patients are collected in my book "The world after myocardial infarction - we do I go now?".
